If you did not require a visitor visa prior to your arrival, you must still tell the border official why you are visiting us. Arrived in New Zealand, you must be able to prove that:

• You have tickets from New Zealand and
• Enough cash to live on while you're here.

If you travel to New Zealand on holiday, you'll need to get a New Zealand Electronic Travel Authority (NZeTA)-- unless you're an Australian citizen.

The New Zealand Government has introduced a new travel requirement for some visitors and transit passengers, including from visa waiver countries.

Most work, transit and visitor NZeTA can be applied for online. Applying online is often faster and less expensive than sending in a paper application form. When you apply online, you may be granted an electronic visa (or eVisa). Before you apply online it is important to check what visa you need and what the requirements are.
